Steilrandexpeditie is a cultural organization with a mission to bring inhabitants of Rotterdam in contact with the beauty of the nature surrounding the city. They organize unique outdoor activities like expeditions or outdoor dinings with wild-picked food and poetry, in order to tell the forgotten stories of the natural surroundings.

A fresh Henry that marks temporary spaces for events about nature and bringing people together
Mobile shack before the job
In 2022 Steilrand was looking for a mobile shack that they could use as a landmark to start and finish their events and expeditions. I was asked to think along.
We agreed that the shack (named Henry) needed serious renovation and transformation. In the process a color study brought insight on how we could turn Henry into a fresh and inviting and iconic rolling. One that’d be suited to be used for a variety of events. A design in yellow tones would transform Henry to become like a flower, gently flourishing in its green surroundings, highlighting itself and standing out. (so far the poetry).

I managed the renovation, made a new removable window and painted the yellow design.
