Upcycled Woodshed
This shed is built to help Danny and Tess store their firewood, close to the entrance of their house. With a good design proposal, I could convince them that we would build with left-over materials.

year: 2022
assignment: Design and building of a wood shed from left-over materials
demands: fits the garden
design values: aesthetically pleasing -
Left-over materials!
shelves: hardwood from a friend
frame: beams from transport
roofing: leftover metal sheet roofing
impregnation oil: natural seed oil -
see slideshow below :)
3D sketch before building
We reused: a set of hardwood planks from a friend of Danny, from a village nearby: beams that have been used to import car wrecks from America (yep, it's a business), left over metal sheet roofing from another project and more planks from the workshop’s left-over corner. The reused materials (about 90%) with their own stories, stamps and scars, give the shed a unique character.

Wood material ready for re-use
The blanc wood is impregnated with natural line seed oil and the shed is orientated at a direction from where there’s no wind: meaning that no overhanging roof was needed.
OK, honestly, looking back, I’ve been quite a nerd on this one concerning reuse: even for the roof connection where spacers were needed, I used plastic disposable rings that come with the spray cans used for other projects, like this one.
Check some pictures from the result below, and do mind the details!
