Young Grow Mural

Young Grow is an innovative tomato grower that recently had a new building built. The canteen, where the personnel would have breaks and hang out, was missing some color and was looking for a unique wall piece.
With this wish, I was contacted and the project started.

  • year: 2023
    client: Young Grow tomato growers
    aim:
showcase Young Grow’s core business and the owner’s love for the nearby beach and kitesurfing
    wishes:
    eye-catcher, playful, modestly colorful

  • spraypaint

  • The result is a 36 square meter mural that brings a unique and lively characteristic to the canteen.

In a first meeting I got to explore all the corners of the company, learn about their vision and how they operate. Together we decided on a style that would best support and communicate the idea and the desired vibe. We wanted for instance that the piece would be catchy and understandable from a distance, while it would also be interesting from nearby.

The mural tells a story from the left to the right, showcasing Young Grow’s two core businesses: growing tomatoes (and potentially cucumbers) together with generating and delivering electricity. Centrally we see two stages of the packaging process towards the final product. When all work is done, we’re heading to the beach with the jeep to catch some windsurf.
