Robin Overschie and I started this studio in 2021 from a shared passion for creative processes, improvisation, team bonding and personal development.
How can we create a strong but simple identity for Studio lugtwegen? How should the website look?
“How can we create a strong but simple identity
for Studio Lugtwegen?”
Lugtwegen in Dutch means both ‘air ways’ or ‘respiratory system’. As for the studio, the concept for the visual identity was centered around the theme of ‘getting high’, or ‘taking off’: going up in the clouds to explore creative potentiality, later bringing it back to the ground in the form of realistic ideas
After a process of ping-ponging ideas, playing and designing together we were able to find a visual identity. It was designed around a primary blue, big titles together with detailed and playful drawings. The result is a coherent scrolling website in which the practice of illustration and graphic design come together.

After a fruitful period a year of covid restrictions entered. Due to the desired focus of the studio to work in groups - with people in person - it was decided to quit the studio in this form.
